for a start its not just about cruisenotts mate, its about providing areas all over england for the younger generation to go and do what it is that they do,
without being harassed by the local police force, or having sections posed against every thing they do, i dont think you quite understand the big picture dude, just quickly read up on what the government has done for the under 30s in the past 20 yrs,

if you dont want to get involved then just say,

the reason i approached cruisenotts is because i am from notts,

alrate, soz guys but im gona have to get down next weekend, what you can do though is ask your members if they are willing to sign a petition should it need doing, i have emailed a couple of other groups and their admin guys are confident that they can get their members to sing the petition too, they have got about 3000 members between them, but the more the merrier,
cheers phil,

mfn wasnt ever designed as a car venue now was it, its a nightclub with a big carpark and if you check the planning application that was put in for it a few yrs ago you will see it has nothing on there to do with car showing or crusing,

all this negativity,

like i said if you guys dont want to get involved then dont,

just carry on driving round and getting your section 59's, and producers,

im looking for positive people who want to make a difference,

Where abouts are you looking at getting the venue for? How are you planning to get it funded? If it became a legal event wouldnt there be all kinds of issues that you might have to conform to? Health and safety legislation and all that bull? Might have to have first aider available onsite, look at access/egress issues, allsorts of other stuff/cans of worms will become apparent.

I havnt been upto notts (in my car) for a long time since the police clamped down, but I remember half the fun of it was the fact that it wasnt really legal meets that you were attending, that was a part of the buzz around the place. 7 nights a week sounds a bit overkill to me, you would probably find a handful of people turnout each night, what about finding somewhere on a monthly basis, one big monthly meet and make a big deal out of it on facebook/car forums to try and get a real good solid attendance there? I`d love to see the cruise scene come back the way it was, I dont think it can be but a legal meet could be the next best thing. But I think it`s potentially a massive operation.. Be nice to see you do it I`m not knocking the idea, I would attend, but it`s potentially a lot to take on and sort out.

we do want to make a differance but how can we feel positive on the subject and be interested when you havent really give us any idea, we ask for abit of what you have in mind like a taster but you just replied theres too much to type and would be easier to speak to us about, which we never got the chance on.

basically to get the street racers off the street and somewhere, where they cant get into trouble, is to have a venue and be able to offer something to do, such as a drag strip or handling track etc. also food and drinks.

entry must be at £1 per person, its affordable for them

you mension a petition, are you taking this petition to the council to try and get them to help the venue?

which other clubs have you spoken too that you said you have members that have signed a petition?

thats exactly what i was thinking along with some other smaller areas,
dragstrip, drift circuit, mechanics areas, food court, ice shop, car spares area, bar for the non drivers, sound off area, display paddock for showing events, indoor/undercover skate plaza, minimoto track, maybe motocross area, free running area, carparking area, things along that kind of track, ALL THE ABOVE GET FROWNED UPON BY THE LAW not just crusing, obviously there will be health and safety issues, maybe we could get some RESPONSABLE ADULTS to help make sure the children attending will behave,

there is a hell of a lot of work to do, and to be honest the crusing side of things is hardly filling me with confidence, but thats ok, ill keep trying,

it will take me arround 8 to 12 weeks for me to draw all the technical drawings, site plans and layout drawings, and 3d visuals required and the design access statement, for the outline planning permission, i have found a brownfield site to the north of nottingham which is owned by gedling bourgh council, they are keen to see somthing done with the land but no conventional developer will go near it because it is not in a ideal location to build houses on it,

along with a planning application i think we should strengthen our application by imposing a certain number of rules, maybe to show the governing bodies that we young people can have a good time, let our hair down, but in a way which is safe to do so,

so there could be somebody passionate about cars in charge of the car side of things,

and somebody who is very passionate about skating in charge of the skating,

and so on,

like i said im not going to put huge amounts of effort into this project, if i have only got a few thousand names together, nobody has signed the petition yet but the group leaders have said they are happy to ask all their members if they will sign up should it be needed and they have assured me all their members will sign up,

one skater group leader im have been chatting too has got around 1500 members so if anything they have got more of a say in this than you guys have if we look at it like that, sorry that might sound a bit harsh, but im get abit frustrated it sounds abit like you guys think your in charge of the planning department with a cant do attitude,

im only asking you to do a simple thing for me,

and that is

ask all the members in your group and any other people you think are interested in this project (or just interested in cruising) becoming a real deal and if it is needed sign a petition,

one of you might even take it upon yourself to write up a petition and get it started, seeing how all of you are sat right now in front of something that can do word procceing, that would be a real show of initative,

one more time only if your not interested just say i wont take it personally,
